It’s the Super Bowl! But what else is on?
The
top 20 most-watched TV broadcasts in American history are all Super
Bowls, attracting well over 100 million viewers each time. (Last year’s
is #1, with 167 million tuning in.) If people are watching TV on Super
Bowl Sunday, they’re overwhelmingly watching the Super Bowl. But all the
other channels still air stuff, some even trying to compete, or
counter-programming with shows that will bring in as many people as
possible that have little to no interest in football.

Super Bowl Tickets
There are many media sessions, news conferences and the like in
the world of modern professional sports -- but there is only one Super Bowl Media Day.
Thousands of credentialed media members annually descend upon the year's host location of the biggest event in sports -- this year, the greater Phoenix area -- to gather the best soundbytes from the game's participants. Some engage in the event as part of their employment, while others arrive costumed in hopes of attracting national attention. Either way, it's quite the spectacle to see.

Ready for some CHAMPIONSHIP football? It will be a clash of epic proportions -- when the New England Patriots and defending Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks square off on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at Super Bowl XLIX.
There's no threat of a February blizzard as there was in New Jersey at the 2014 Super Bowl. This year's game will be totally "cool" -- as the AC system and retractable roof at the desert stadium ensures total climate control for both fans and players.
This year marks the second time the University of Phoenix Stadium will be at the center of all the Super Bowl action, having played host to Super Bowl XLII in 2008.

Phoenix to open streets to alcohol consumption
Phoenix appears to be going out of its way to one-up the Super Bowl party that New York City threw last season. According to the Arizona Republic,
the city has approved plans for an "open campus" on which of-age adults
can consume alcoholic beverages on public streets. The nine-block area
was issued the largest special-even liquor license in the history of

Super Bowl Central 2015
Super Bowl Boulevard 2015
Super Bowl Central is the name for the entertainment district that will cover 12 downtown Phoenix blocks east of the NFL Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center's North Building, creating a destination for all fan, media, sponsor and NFL happenings around Super Bowl XLIX in February 2015.
A map of the area, which will stretch from Fifth Street to First Avenue between Jefferson and Monroe streets, shows elements that will be new to downtown Phoenix since 2008, the last time the game was played in the Valley:
• NFL Experience, with kids football clinics, interactive football games, free autograph sessions and football- memorabilia displays
• Photo-friendly, 30-foot-tall Roman numerals.
